The hotel is in a good location that allows you to visit the nearby hotels and get access to the beach.
This was definitely not a 5-star hotel and resort as advertised...it was barely pushing 3-stars. This hotel was extremely outdated and lacked in amenities and service. Here is my list of dislikes and problems I encountered during my stay. 1. The hotel was missing half of it's sign on the side of the building. 2. There is no main counter in the lobby, just a couple people sitting behind an office desk in the corner of the lobby. 3. The rooms still use a regular key on a bulky key chain. 4. The hotel offered no room service. 5. There was no bar in the hotel, just 2 limited dining options with limited hours. 6. The pool was dirty. 7. No beach activities were offered by the hotel. 8. The hotel grounds and pool were never lit at sunset and remained in the dark throughout the entire night. 9. Internet service was horribly slow. Wifi or even wired connection would take up to 10 min at times to load, or not load at all. 10. 2 of the wall outlets did not work. 11. Furniture in the room was old and the room was poorly laid out. 12. The mini-fridge was indeed "mini" and did not keep drinks that cold. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the hotel and lack of amenities and services that I received from this advertised 5-star hotel & resort. Not at all worth the money that I was charged.

The room was quite large, and very simple. The view was great but they need to finish the villa's to make it outstanding.
They did not have internet in the room; wired or wifi which I request for an external router, which was reported to be slow and disconnect quite often. They also did not have an iron or ironing board in the room, and I requested both the router and iron for four days and never received them. The fact that the hotel was still under construction, and has been ongoing for a while, and came to find out that the hotel my not ever be complete.

The Hotel is bad, check-in was slow, they gave my room key to another guest, no bar or relaxing area, internet is no good, my bathroom ceiling started leaking in the middle of the night. Don't stay here ever

Staff were useless and informed us of nothing upon checking in. We recieved some information on the hotel and facilities on the last day after asking for it. We had to ask about everything including when we were to check out etc as nobody told us anything. No hair dyer or kettle in the room (we asked for both items 3 times and never recieved them) and the room appeared to be half way through renovations. The only thing that the staff helped with was getting us a room as "Booked.net" did NOT reserve our room even though we recieved booking conformation via email. Lucky they had a room (which had a less than average view i might add) we could stay in or we would have had to sleep in the car. I was disgusted with the service.

Only the view from our room
The place is under renovation, I believe. But the pool area is not taken care of, no gym room, carpet and mess everywhere and some parts of the building are falling apart.

The view from the 8th floor balcony.
1) There was only 1 split a/c unit in the entire suite (there appeared to have been an a/c unit in the corner of the "den" area but it was removed prior to my arrival and the holes were not plugged). The thermostat for the old central ac unit did nothing but circulate hot air... Due to only having one split a/c unit in the suite, the den and bathroom areas were routinely hot and uninviting. 2) Only having WiFi in certain parts of the lobby is CRAZY. Business travelers expect and need to be able to connect everywhere. WiFi access points are a dime a dozen, and there is no excuse for NOT offering WiFi in the rooms - even if you have to charge for it $10 per day like some other hotels. 3) There was an infestation of black biting gnats in my room that came out each evening, and there were LARGE water beetles or roaches in the hallway corner of the 8th floor near the elevator. Pest control measures should be deployed immediately. 4) The carpet in the elevator lobby was very old and dirty. I recommend removing and tiling the area... 5) The lack of street lighting in the parking lots was disconcerting to me - a single female traveler in a foreign location. I expect that other visitors might have the same impression and desire better lighting.... 6) The power went out on two separate occasions and engineering had to be called to my room to reset the breaker. I recommend getting to the root problem and fixing it so that future guests do not have to go through this like I did. 7) The trash dumped in the extra Aurora parking lots across the street was unbelievable and should be immediately removed by hotel management. While it appears to be common for locals on Guam to dump their trash any where they desire, the practice should not be condoned and those in government and the hospitality and tourism industries should take extraordinary measures to clean up the trash DAILY. The people of Guam do not respect the fragile eco-system and tropical environment they inhabit!

I was not expecting that much but the room was clean and big with a great view! I was very pleased with almost everything except the place was dead... If you just wants to relax in Guam, Aurora is the best place to stay for a reasonable price.
I think the half of the Hotel were closed and I didn't see many people despite of the busy season. Pool was empty...

The beachside and some of the staff that tried their best to make it better for us.
The ammenities that were provided were very poor. The comforter had an awful smell to it. We even had it changed a couple of times but that didnt make a difference because the comforter is made with feathers of an animal. The cooking stove wasn't great either it took about 2 hrs. To finish cooking a meal for the family. The aircond units were just as bad. We ended up getting another room for exchange but the other room had some problems too. The hotel really needs to renovate.... The jacuzzi was out of order. And not much food places around the area.

Location, room and price.
Continental breakfast buffet only. Would have liked to order a cup of coffee and have yogurt or eggs. Also, would have liked to have a drink in a lounge but there wasnt one. The Chinese restruant meal was okay, not great, but the staff was super nice.
